How do I book a Popstar Party?
Call us on 01405 469 453 or 07580 662 308 to check a date. We require a 50% deposit to secure your party. You can pay by bank transfer (BACS) or by Paypal (+ 5% service charge). The remainder is then due 7 days before the party date for bank transfer / Paypal or in cash on the day of your party.
What areas do you cover?
We cover all across Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire including Hull, Leeds, Doncaster, Wakefield, York, Sheffield, Harrogate, Halifax to name just a few areas that we have visited. We offer a free call out service within 40 miles of DN14. If you are outside this area feel free to call us to check if we can come to you for a small additional charge.
Where does the party take place?
You can have a Popstar Recording party at your own home or at a party venue of your choice.
How much space do we need for a party?
We only require a small space to setup, so your lounge, kitchen or dining room is usually OK. You just need enough space for your chosen group size to be comfortable standing together singing. Please think about space if you are booking for a larger group, for example 20 to 25 singers!
When can I have a Popstar Party?
We can provide parties at times to suit you (Subject to availability). Weekdays, evenings and weekends, and during the summer holidays or school breaks.
What group sizes can you cater for?
We provide parties for groups between 5 to 25 singers, and we can also arrange larger groups upon request.
How much does it cost per person?
We have prices from just £14.95 per singer including a take home CD for each person.
What age ranges are your parties aimed at?
We specialise in tailoring each party to the exact age range of your group. We will ensure that the Pop Star Party won’t be too childish for older groups or too technical or advanced for the younger ones.
What is the youngest age that the parties are suitable for?
As a general guide we advise 7 years and up but are happy to offer parties for younger children upon request. We have completed fun recordings for early years and pre school groups too. We work closely with you to ensure all song lyrics, subject matter and content is totally suitable for your age group.
Can you provide parties for adults?
Yes, we provide Popstar Parties for all age groups and you can also have a group comprising of different ages if you like.
Do we have to be good singers ?
No, not at all, these are fun recording sessions aimed at all abilities and ages. As long as you choose some songs that you will enjoy singing, the vocals can be as fun or as crazy as you like. Some sessions for older groups can be more serious if you desire, and this sometimes happens when you hear how good you all sound!
How long do the parties last for?
After we have setup our equipment the Parties are between 2 hours to 2 hours 30 minutes approx. This includes time for us to mix and process your recorded vocals with the music and create your CDs. You should allow some extra time after our approximate finish time to ensure all the CDs are ready.
How many songs can we sing?
We recommend choosing 2 songs for your group to sing, you will be practising, performing and perfecting these tracks just as you would in a recording studio. You can record more than 2 songs if you like but you will need to allow time for us to process mix and balance your recorded vocals for each song as well as creating your CDs. For Birthday parties we will also record the group singing ‘Happy Birthday’ as a bonus track to be featured on the CDs.
What sort of songs should I choose to Sing?
You can choose any type of song or style of music that you like, it doesn’t even have to be Pop. As well as all the current commercial pop tracks, we regularly record songs from Musicals or Children’s Movies. You can even record your own original songs (You may require additional time for original material.)
How do I check what songs are available?
We have a huge library of professional backing tracks, you can check on iTunes and if your song is available as a backing track, instrumental or karaoke version then we can obtain this for your party.
What happens if we make mistakes during the singing?
Don’t worry there is no pressure, its all about having fun. We will work with you and you can re-record any parts if necessary. Our audio engineer will use all the best takes you have recorded to put together for your finished song.
How many CDs do we get and can we order extra CDs?
Everyone in the group receives a take home CD. You can order additional copies at the time of booking or even after the party, these make great gifts for families and friends.
Can I add more time to my party or record some solo tracks?
Yes of course, you can add extra time before the party to record some solo songs before your party guests arrive or add extra time to the duration of your party to sing more songs and have us spend additional time mixing or adjusting your vocals too. Extra time is charged at £60 per hour.
I don’t want a Party, can you just come and record for us?
Yes of course, you don’t have to have a Party, you can book a fun recording session or a professional recording session. Just call us to chat about your recording idea or project.
What Experience do your producers and engineers have?
Our producers have over 40 years combined experience in Recording and Producing Music. We owned and ran a professional Recording Studio facility in London successfully for over 20 years before relocating to Yorkshire in 2013.
Our team regularly work with chart artists , band, groups as well as major and independent record labels in all different musical styles and genres. We have even co written and produced a UK top 40 number 1 Single that sold over 250,000 copies.
Do you offer other types of recording?
Yes, we can record spoken word, poems, podcasts, audio books, acapellas or any type of vocals. We can also record musicians, instruments, DJs and other types of performances. We also offer full location recording services for choirs, schools and youth and community projects, one off events or workshops. Feel free to call us to chat about your requirements.

Yes we hold a full current advanced DBS check on all our staff members.
